Obituary of Linda Marie McQuithy

Linda Marie McQuithy, of Taplin, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 27, 2023. She was born on October 6, 1952, at Kelly Mountain, the daughter of the late Alfred Lee Bailey and Goldie “Belle” (Edmiston) Bailey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie McQuithy Jr.; one son, Cletis E. Bailey-Toler; six brothers, General Lee Wendell of OH, Clifford Wendell of OH, Jackie Justice of OH, William “Frank” Bailey of Taplin, Roger “Duke” Bailey of OH, Alfred Dean Bailey of Rita; one sister, Janet Wendell of Lorado. Linda loved her family dearly and looked forward to the time they spent together while visiting. Her favorite past-time was going camping and making memories. She enjoyed a good cup of coffee while talking with her friends and family. Linda will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Those left to cherish her memory are her two children, Willie A. McQuithy of Christian, and Melena M. McQuithy and her fiancé Jim Chambers of Taplin; four grandchildren, James McNeely of Oceana, Dana and Phillip Crusenberry of NC, Brianna Simpkins and Cassidy Walls, both of Man, and Jeremy Chambers; great-grandchildren, Jayleigh, Colson, and Journe McNeely, Liam and Caroline McNeely, and Marlee Crusenberry; two sisters, Uni “Cookie” Miller of OH, Betty Cole of KY; one brother, Phillip Ray Bailey of OH; along with a host of other relatives and friends. In honor of Linda’s wishes her remains will be cremated.
