Janice Browning
of Saint Charles, IL formerly of Accoville, WV
Janice Browning (Harrison), 85, of Saint Charles, IL formerly of Accoville, WV, passed away on April 9, 2024, at CAMC-General Division at Charleston, WV.
She was born on January 14, 1939, in Accoville, WV, the daughter of the now deceased William “Bill” and Sadie (Simpkins) Harrison; her husband, Bobby Lee Browning who passed away on July 8, 2023; one stillborn brother, Randy Harrrison; and three brothers, Ronald Harrison, Donald Harrison, and Charles Harrison.
Janice retired from Dukane Manufacturing Company after over 25 years of service. She was a strong member of the Bethel Baptist Church when she attended there and currently at the Valley View Baptist Church, both in St. Charles, IL. Janice’s passion was walking for exercise with friends. A friendly person, Janice never met a stranger, making friends where ever she went. She enjoyed cooking and baking and taking care of her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Tina and her husband Mario Tafoya of Plainfield, IL; her son, Timmy and his wife Jeanette Browning of Aurora, IL; three grandchildren, Shannon and her husband James Lemos, Ryan and his wife Kahina Browning, and Justin and his wife Emily Browning; three great-grandchildren, James Lemos Jr., Daniel Lemos, and Lorraine Browning; five sisters, JoAnn Stoudt and her husband LeRoy, Linda Harris, Brenda Hatfield, Helen Chapman and her husband Ed, and Kathy Mullins; one brother, Allen Harrison; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friday evening at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
Funeral services will begin at 6:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Maxwell officiating.
In honor of Janice’s wishes her remains will be cremated following the services.
